Liberty Valance is a wannabe country project I play guitar and sing in. the songs are pretty simple. we have played around town here in Burlington and have also played at the Middle East in Boston a few times. Joe Boo from the magic is gone plays bass and sings back ups. He also records as headcase. Originally we were just going to play at coffee houses and use it as a project to learn how to sing and get a little better at what we do. We vowed there would be no recording.... mostly becuase I was sick of recording at the time. After a little while it seemed like people wanted to see us so we started playing at other shows. I think they regret it now.

This is us at the Middle East in Boston, MA

This is me playing at jeds birthday party this summer. Joe was playing there too he's just out of the picture.

Every year for christmas I make a CD full of songs I recorded or half recorded... or just random crap that made it on my computer. Last year since LV made the vow of no record we recorded a record for everyone for Christmas. Since we aren't slackers we packaged the CD in an illustrated book with all the words and chords written out. It had chord diagrams and everything. We only made 50 and they are all gone now... but you can view the contents of the book here sans pretty pictures.
The MP3's to the cd to the book are here. I won't make any excuses but this is when I started to sing... eveything had a max of 2 takes... and we used the classic fuck overdubs attitude. Some people seem to file this under "charming" and some file it under "bugs the fuck out of me"
1. My Whole World 2. Simple Girl 3. I Can't Live Without You 4. This Endless Summers Gone 5. Doomed Western and in Love 6. Mary Camden 7. You Can't Miss What You Never Had 8. All I've Got is You 9. Rachel's Birthday 10. Since You've Seen Me Smile 11. My Bleedin' Heart
So then a few months later Isaac calls and says "What are you doing today?"
I say "Nothing."
He says "What do you want to do?"
I say "Lets film a LV Video."
He says "OK." Even though he hates LV and my voice.
So I called Joe.. picked him up and we went around and filmed a video. I edited it that nite and rob from D43 was nice enough to export it to a smaller web format form me.
Download the Video for My Bleedin Heart It's 5.9 MB
Thats pretty much the Liberty Valance story. You can see some pictures here.
