WHAT'S NEW WITH OCM? (09/18/05)

 

  • The new ocm cd ''sunshine flower'' will be out soon, a mix of sunshine jangle pop, space rock and synthpop explorations of sound and texture.


  • Kevin Coral [of The Witch Hazel Sound] will be working his mellotronic magic and using his orchestral pop expertise on some songs we're working on together, hopefully they will see the light of day very soon as well.

  • twilight furniture/north of january will release the cynthetic ceiling cd called ''synthetic sailing'' on september 10 2003. cynthetic ceiling is all synthesizers and vocals, no guitars, hence the name [also suggested to be used by lawrence on the inner sleeve of the go kart mozart cd!] is cynthetic ceiling really just ocm in disguise? sure is, but a few friends pop in here and there.


  • also twilight furniture/north of january will release the new orange cake mix cd ''sunshine flower'' in early 2004.probably like january or february or...maybe a little later. or earlier. still gotta figure out the cover art and all that. 20 songs = 45 minutes of early primal scream/the springfields/ byrds inspired 12 string electric jangle pop songs/ cluster and heldon inspired space rock/cinematic instrumentals/loungecore/ quiet cerebral love songs with a dash of drum and bass thrown in the mix/etcetcetc. probably the most versatile and most varied release coming from the orange cake mix song factory.
